February 2010 Highlights

• Our February meeting was a February 14th pot luck at the Budde's. The Burkes, the Heggs, the Kauffmans, Gary Latter, Audrey McWhorter, and the Phillips were in attendance and commented on the wonderful abundance of parking spaces. And, of course, the Buddes were there, too (although they have been known to offer their house for a party they were not going to attend!) The house was decorated for Valentine's Day with hearts hanging from the chandeliers and origami baskets (thanks to 10-year-old granddaughter Julia Budde) filled with candy and cookies. Nobody went hungry as we noshed on wonderful food from appetizers to desserts. John Shelton wasn't feeling well that day so he and Alve didn't attend but sent a dish with the Kauffmans. After lunch we held a speedy meeting (12 minutes, as I recall) and then adjourned for more conversation, with the last group leaving about 5 PM. Oh, and I forgot the snowball fight and the ice skating in the park across the street. You guys in Arizona, eat your hearts out!
